AMO Radio Show-Ask Kevin A Question
Have a Question You Want to Ask Kevin?
As announced on the AMO Radio Show, the next show will be with Kevin Macpherson and we’ll be featuring questions asked by YOU!
With the show only being 30 minutes long, it very hard to work in phone calls to our jammed pack show. So what we would like to do is feature your questions to Kevin on the August 19th AMO Radio Show.
All you need to do is post a comment here on the blog or send the question to us using the Contact Us. We’ll try very hard to get as many questions that we can into the show. If there are an overwhelming amount of questions, we’ll schedule another show to address those questions.
So–have something you always wanted to ask Kevin but never had the chance? Here’s your chance!

Tips on avoiding getting ‘too green’ when painting summer foliage…thank you!
1What are the 3 most important things an artist can do, when beginning to learn to paint plein air?
Then, what should they concentrate on and what should they not fall into the trap of doing?
2Do you use any medium as you mix your paints other than mineral spirits when painting outdoors?
3Kevin- I met you a couple years ago at the Utrecht Paint out in Central Park. Kenn Backhaus did a portrait of me that day. Something I’ve always wanted to know is your use of light, medium, dark, and chromatic black paint. Do you use these as a base underpainting for the big shapes or do you mix these with the primary colors to “grey” out the color? I noticed in the Passport & Pallete Switzerland demo that you started with big gray shapes and then mixed color on top?

Larry
4What did your pond series teach you about painting the same subject so many times? Does your experience from that series still effect your current paintings?
Recently you have done several figurative works and I am wondering if you think that landscape paintings are reaching a saturation point and are collectors moving toward figurative work?
5How do you get so many opportunities to paint all over the world?
